Statement of Interest

The farmhouse is situated independently from the steading which is to NW. See separate listing for steading. The name "Crumstaine" appears on the map of 1654, but the first clear definition of a separate farmhouse does not appear until 1821 on John Ainslie?s map. The plan of 1857 looks very much the same as it is today.
