Description

18th century. Square-plan enclosed burial ground in woods to SE of house; entrance at centre of NW wall; memorial against SE wall.

MEMORIAL: gothick wall memorial with gabletted piers framing 3-centred arch niche, cusped detailing to arch ring; gabletted pedestal base for plain cross finial. Simple white marble incised slab contained within niche; names now much faded; "Hector McDonald and Jean Buchanan, 1733". Yew trees framing memorial.

GATEPIERS AND GATES: droved ashlar gatepiers, sunken panel, corniced caps with large ball finial on tapered pedestal.

BOUNDARY WALL: rubble wall with ashlar slab coping; wall collapsed in places.
