Statement of Interest

A relatively late, but well-detailed farmhouse which has retained the majority of its original features - the lying-pane glazing, stop-chamfered openings and bracketed skewputts amongst the most notable. Although Lochrig steading is shown on the 1st Ordnance Survey map, the house itself does not appear until the 1900 edition. Neither the steading nor the nearby farm cottage (originally 2) are included in this listing.
