Possibly late 18th century in origin with later additions and alterations. 2-storey, 5-bay (4-bay at 1st floor), rectangular-plan residential range (grouped 3-2) forming end of terrace, with lower, 2-storey, 4-bay wing projecting at rear; lower piended addition beyond (former sawmill); adjoining shed forming near U-plan. Rubble; sandstone ashlar dressings; harled side elevation; rendered, piended block at rear. Rusticated quoins to front; long and short surrounds to openings; painted margins; projecting cills.
NE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: deep-set timber panelled door in penultimate bay to outer left, decorative fanlight; single windows at ground in flanking bays; single windows aligned in all 3 bays at 1st floor. Deep-set timber panelled door in penultimate bay to outer right, opaque fanlight; single windows at both floors in bay to outer right.
SE (SIDE) ELEVATION: gabled block to right with single window at ground off-set to right of centre. Lower, 4-bay range recessed to left with 2 segmental-arched cart arches at ground (various modern insertions; tooled voussoirs); blocked doorway at ground to outer right; blocked, squat opening at ground to outer left; small window at 1st floor in bay to outer right; single windows in remaining 3 bays to left. Lower, 2-storey range adjoined to left with single windows at ground; 2-leaf boarded timber loading door centred at 1st floor; flanking windows.
Predominantly 12-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows; some 4-pane glazing at rear; modern dormers and rooflights. Grey slate roof to front range; stone-coped skews. Pantiled roofs to rear wings with grey slate easing course in part. Corniced ridge and apex stacks; various cans.
INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
BOUNDARY WALLS: rubble walls enclosing site to side.
