History

Possibly associated with the Revival of 1841 when baptism of 52 adults is recorded.

Exterior

A large square stone bath for baptismal immersion, some 3m deep, enclosed by stone walls part whitewashed, with tiered sides and with a flight of steps with railing leading to the bottom of the bath. The coping and treads of steps and tiered benches are of flat stones and there is a low stone stile to the enclosure.

Included as an unusual surviving outdoor baptistry; group value with the chapel.
