Dated 1885 and part of an extension of the Taff Vale Railway to serve Albion Colliery at Cilfynydd.
A 3-bay girder viaduct on tapering rock-faced sandstone piers. The piers have rounded cutwaters at the base and projecting bands below the top. On top of the piers are cast iron parapet piers with saddleback copings. These piers bear in relief the date and the legend 'TVR' on alternate faces. The steel girder deck has a latticework steel parapet. These parapets terminate in rectangular stone piers with conglomerate coping stones. The abutments are of rock-faced stone with a band of red conglomerate below the top. They comprise splayed walls retaining the embankment on both sides, of which the W abutment is more substantial as the ground is steeper.
The deck carries an iron pipe but the rails have been taken up.
Listed as a well-preserved steel girder viaduct, a type characteristic of the late C19 but now extremely rare in S Wales.
