History

Early C19 milestone on old turnpike road from Neath to Pontneddfechan.

Exterior

Milestone, triangular section on rectangular base built into wall at road level. Stone, white painted with worn carved lettering in black. Right side reads 'VI Miles to Neath' and left side 'VI Miles to Pont v.n.' for Pontneddfechan. Benchmark below and further worn lettering below that.
