Monument to Sir William Earle Welby Bt. and his first wife Penelope, daughter of Sir John Glynne of Hawarden Castle, Flintshire. They had one son Sir William Earle Welby who erected the monument, and one daughter Penelope who married Thomas Northmore Esq. of Cleeve in Devon. Sir W E Welby second wife was Elizabeth relict of Thomas Williamson Esq. of Allington, issue 5 sons five daughters. The Arms atop the memorial are Welby (sable, a fesse between three fleurs-de-lis argent) impaling Glynne (Argent an eagle displayed with two heads sable quartering argent 3 brands raguly sable fired proper with an escutcheon of pretense argent charged with a human leg couped at the thigh sable).
