Villa, now offices. c1830-50 with later additions and
alterations including C20 range to rear. Stucco over brick
with hipped slate roof. Double depth plan with central
hallway.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys on basement, 5 first-floor windows with a
single-storey bay on basement to each side. Single-storey bays
break forwards. Stucco detailing includes shaped plinth
interrupted by basement windows, first-floor band to main
range, Doric pilasters to single-storey bays surmounted by
frieze and cornice with blocking course; windows have tooled
architraves. 1/1 sashes to ground floor, 2/2 horizontal-pane
sashes to first floor and 3/3 sashes to basement. Central
entrance has Doric porch with 2 pairs of fluted columns,
architrave, frieze and cornice with blocking course; flight of
5 roll-edged steps to 6-panel door with sidelights and
overlights.
INTERIOR: open-well staircase has alternate stick and
embellished iron balusters and wreathed handrail; plasterwork
remains including embellished cornice to hall.
