GV II
War memorial. Circa early C20 to commemorate those who died in the 1914-18
world war. Dressed granite. Octagonal plan sarcophagus on a stepped base.
Over the sarcophagus is a tapered cross shaft surmounted by a Celtic cross.
The sarcophagus chest has a moulded plinth and cornice ; alternate sides have recessed inscribed panels. Attached to the other sides are panels inscribed
to those who died in the 1939-45 world war.
