3/174 Barn about 30 yards south-west of - Uphampton House

Barn. Probably C17. Timber-framed, weatherboarded on sandstone rubble plinth, plain tiled roof. Four framed bays; second bay from east gable end is a wagon bay with opposed, square-headed cart entries; fourth bay is open, without wall-frmaing. Framing: three square panels from sill to wall-plate, collar-and-tie-beam trusses with queen struts at gable ends and east of open bay, intermediate tie-beam trusses with raking struts either side of wagon bay; single row of trenched purlins.
