Barn range, now swimming pool enclosure (E barn) and meeting room. C17
or earlier. Timber frame partly on old flint sill partly renewed in
brick. Dark weatherboarding and steep pitched roofs now clad in slate
continuous over both barns. 2 tall 3-bays similar barns adjoining
in-line. E barn has projecting gabled N porch in middle bay. W barn has
double doors to middle bay and lean-to roofed rear outshut on S in same
bay. E has jowled posts, curved braces to tie-beams, mid-height rail in
walls, one purlin to each roofslope clasped by collar with straight
queen-struts. Long curved wind-braces and tension braces. W barn has
jowled posts, long straight tension braces, braces to tie beams. One
purlin to each roofslope carried on inclined straight queen-posts.
