Side lit view. Either side of the bishop who takes the place of a reredos, are two C13 Decorated Gothic corbels placed here as altar hangers. These are intended for hanging a portable reredos, or a rail with heavy altar curtains. All re-sited here under the tower as a private chapel or vestry during C18 or C19 restorations.
