Cross Lane is shown on OS Map as Orchard Vale.
Row of 8 cottages. c1840. Painted brick with pantile roofs and
brick stacks to gable ends and party walls. Designed in pairs,
each is 2-storey, one-window range with a round-arched blind
window above paired, round arches to doors. No.14, to the left
(east), has original planked door and 3-light casements with
small panes; Nos 11, 12 and 13 have C20 three-light casements,
others are plate glass. All doors and windows have keystones.
INTERIORS not inspected but said to have been altered.
