Formerly known as: Cross Farm CROSS LANE.
Cross Lane is shown on OS Map as Orchard Vale.
Farmhouse, now house. Late C17/early C18. Limestone rubble,
thatched roof. T-shape plan.
2 storeys; 3-window range. The bar of the T, forming the north
front, has a half-hipped gable with chimneys at the angle of
ridge and centre of ridge, to the right. The stepped-forward
front gable is asymmetrical, ending at first-floor level to
the left and at ground-floor level to the right. All windows
are C20 with Ham Hill stone lintels and are mostly 3-light
leaded casements, 2-light to 2 windows to ground-floor right.
INTERIOR not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Attached walls and railings enclose
forecourt; railings are late C19 with looped tops alternating
with plain bars.
