ILMINSTER

ST3614 DITTON STREET 1939-1/7/27 (East side) 29/07/76 No.33 and attached walls and railings

GV II

House. c1820. Incised stucco with tarred slate roof, stepped stone copings and brick stacks to gable ends. Double-depth plan with rear wing to left. 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window range. 6-panel door under fanlight with radial glazing bars, set in plain surround to semicircular arch; similar 6/6-pane sash above, without surround. 8/8-pane sashes to sides. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: fronting garden is a Ham Hill stone plinth with delicate spearheaded railings; working gate with long/short railings; higher rough ashlar wall to left with Ham Hill stone copings, connects late C19 rear wing of house to railings.
