Presbytarian chapel, now Unitarian meeting house also used by the Royal Naval Association. 1724, with alterations of 1879-80. Chequer brick with pebble-dash front and hipped slate roof. Rectangular plan. Early Georgian style. One storey with 2 tiers of windows; 4-window range. 2 platt bands and top brick cornice. Entrance to left end added c1880, has gabled porch with pointed outer entrance and plank door; inner entrance has plaque above recording erection of chapel. Windows have plaster surrounds and C20 small-paned glazing; 2 to upper left end have C18 cross-casements. Rear retains segmental-headed windows with cross-casements, some with leaded glazing with rectangular quarries. Right return has blocked segmental-headed entrance and some attached C19 headstones to burials in adjoining graveyard. INTERIOR: c1880 wooden screen with 3 pointed arches to east end, with re-sited pulpit of 4 panelled sides with moulded cornice, railings in front incorporate C18 turned balusters; good series of C18 and C19 monuments of the Lakin and Byng families; some remaining panelling c1724 with bolection mouldings.
