Town house with later shop. Probably C17, refronted c1870.
Incised stuccoed front with plinth, moulded architraves and
mid-floor string; fairly steep asbestos slate roof. U-shaped
plan including rear wings at right-angles. 2 storeys; 3-window
range. Late C19 horned sashes and shop front: pilastered
canted oriels with moulded aprons and cornices; central window
over pier between house doorway and shop (right); window with
sill brackets under left-hand oriel. Pilastered house doorway
with paired brackets under moulded hood; shop front with
moulded entablature with fascia and paired brackets; recessed
doorway on right; C20 plate glass to 2-light shop window plus
splayed return light. INTERIOR of shop altered C20. Remnants
of C17 plaster ceiling to 1st floor not inspected.
