Circa 1759 (date on brickwork), built as a western extension of the former Dower
House, now demolished. The Willis map of 1768 shows No 44 as part of the King's
Arms Inn. Two storeys and dormers. Three window main front on east side. Hipped
slate roof. Multi-coloured stock brick with red brick dressings. Four flat-topped
dormer sashes with glazing bars. Gauged segmental-arched sash windows with glazing
bars; round-arched window over central doorway. Modern bow-fronted Regency style
windows to ground floor. Round-arched doorway with radial fanlight and console-
bracketted head. Interior with contemporary staircase and "Adam" chimneypiece to
1st floor room.
