at SS 7929 2851
GV II
Shippon. Early to mid C18, altered probably in the early C20. Roughly squared and
coursed stone, with C20 cement render to north. Gable-ended asbestos-slate roof.
Plan: Long rectangular range aligned approximately east-west, facing farmyard to
north. One storey and loft.
Exterior: Central loft opening with 2 boarded doors. Four ground-floor C20 metal
casements and 2 boarded stable-type doors. Blank wall to south. This range bounds
the south-side of the group of farmbuildings on the opposite side of the lane to West
Molland Barton (q.v.). Despite its alterations it still forms an important part of
the farmstead.
