Cottage. Probably early C18 with some late C19 alterations. Coursed stone rubble
with gable-ended asbestos-slate roof. C19 brick end stack and C19 brick top stage to
old front stack.
Plan: Two-room plan, facing south. Large external lateral square stack to front and
C19 integral end stack to right. Right-hand gable end probably altered or rebuilt in
the late C19 (see C19 windows and brick stack). One-storey and attic.
Exterior: Probably C19 small flat-roofed dormer to left. Large central stack to
front with chamfered offsets and catslide roof over bread oven to right, with semi-
circular projection. Entrance to left of stack with lean-to glazed porch. Right-
hand gable end with 2 windows to ground floor and attic C19 two-and 3-light wooden
casements with dressed-stone segmental-arched heads.
Interior: altered in the C19. Only ground floor inspected at time fo survey (August
1987).
