House, now with ground floor shop and offices above. C16,
altered C19 and C20. Timber-framed, colourwashed stucco
facing, with old tiled roof. 2 storeys. First floor has 2
flush set sash windows, with divided glazing and exposed
boxes. Ground floor has altered C19 shopfront with cornice and
fascia flanked by carved, moulded consoles, and arcaded
windows. C19 extension across rear.
INTERIOR: gutted on ground floor, first floor now approached
through No.41 (qv). Braced tie-beam truss visible on first
floor with long jowled posts. Main roof has 3 bays, side
purlins with curved windbracing, and paired smoke-blackened
rafters, subdivided with wattle and daub partitions.
