SV8914 Cresset from St. Agnes Lighthouse,
1358-0/7/121 in Tresco Abbey Gardens

GV II

Cresset or firebasket from St. Agnes Lighthouse (q.v.). Cast
iron. Two circular tapering reversed halves, upper part
forming basket with bars to sides and opening for removal of
ashes in solid lower part. Probably the only surviving
lighthouse grate in the British Isles.
