Pair of cottages. Probably built late C16 with Falkland Hall adjacent
(q.v. High Street west side), altered C18, C19 and C20. Coursed and
dressed rubble, Cotswold stone roof, large chimney to left and wall-face
chimney between the two. 2 storeys; No 1 with attic, one gabled dormer.
1 window each. No 1 has a continuous string over ground floor with pendant
drips (like Falkland Hall). 1st floor window has raised flat surround
with key, lowered to fit small casement; C20 casements to ground and 1st
floors. No 2 has similar 1st floor window, part-blocked for smaller
casement and on ground floor a casement window with wooden lintel, no
string course. Plain doorways to right of each cottage.
