-16--. An excellent example of a Belvoir Angel. Rectangular slate, with relief carved text -Blessed be the dead which die in the Lord (Rev 14v13)- the two round-faced winged angels and raised letters, to: William Orston Senior d.1728 aged 81 years, followed by a verse in raised letters -With conscience pure I hope to see gods face/ And rise again to glorifie his grace-. Also, to: Sarah, daughter of William Orston by Elizabeth his wife, it died in infancy. -Short was her race long is her rest/ God takes them soon whom he loves best-. (Photo Oct 2012).
