Shaped slate headstone with stylised angels head to Thomas Clarke d. 7th May 1761 age 62. -God spared not the perfect man/ Nor likewise the unjust/ But all that on the Earth do dwell/ He turneth into Dust/ O Death thou hast a steady Eye/ On mankind as we see/ O think of Death that when we die/ (We shall) prepared be-. Engraver probably L Claxton. (Photo Apr 2014).
