Dovecote or Granary
west of Plesheybury House
TL 6L SE 4/406 10.4.67.

2.
A large 2 storeyed dovecote probably of Cl7 origin. Timber-framed originally
with brick nogging but now plastered over. No longer in use as a dovecote but
for some considerable time has been used as a granary. It stands on a number
of brick piers. The roof is pyramidal and tiled and there appears to have been
no central louvre. The birds gained access through a small opening in the east
wall. The entrance door is in the upper storey.
