School and School House. 1855-56. Local stone cut and squared, the house now rendered, ashlar dressings; plain clay
tile roof between coped gables; brick chimney stacks. 'L'-plan, with later matching additions on North side. West
elevation of 3 gables, each with triple cusped lancet windows, with plain door in return wing; stone bell turret on
cental gable. School house, attached to South, 2 storeys, 2 bays, with 3-light stone mullioned windows below and
2-light mullioned and transomed above. The whole forms a picturesque group. (John A Cross, A History and Guide Book of
