south-east of East Stoke House

Entrance gateway. C19. Ham stone ashlar. Main piers about 600 mm square and 3.5 metres high; tall moulded plinth,
incised panel lines to main faces, frieze band, cornice-topped with double-stepped free design caps: wing walls set on
concave quarter-circles, with moulded copings and circular end piers, with small pedestrian gateway to west of carriage
gateway: no gates. The whole adds to the streetscene and to the setting of East Stoke House (q.v).
