Probably late C16 2 bay house with central smoke bay into which the chimney stack
was inserted later. Square timber framing with some diagonal braces. Queen strut
roof trusses. Smoke-blackened plaster of smoke bay remains. Exterior view is
of 2-storey 2 window house with a steeply pitched, hipped tiled roof. Top of
chimney stack rebuilt. Tile hung 1st floor. Visible framing with brick filling
below, on a brick plinth. Casement windows. Rear extensions.
