Farmhouse and cottage adjoining. Late C17-early C18. Rubble faced with red brick, header bond, rubble and Ham stone
plinth on facade of main block, dog-tooth brick cornice, slate roofs, coped verges to main block, brick stacks gable
ends and to left of through passage also centre of lower independently roofed cottage wing. Plan: 3-cell and cross
passage with 2- cell cottage, former kitchen and dairy, adjoining. Main block: 2 stareys, 4 bays, flat brick voussoirs
to slightly enlarged window openings with C20 reconstructed stone ovolo moulded mullion windows with plate glass,
3-light first floor with 2-light over entrance, 3-light ground floor, entrance second bay right, 4-panel door with 2
inserted lights, cantilevered porch carried on 3 brackets; to right 2 storey, 2 bay, brick surrounds to 2-light
casements without glazing bars, entrance centre left, gabled porch with C20 plank door. Rear elevation: catslide roof
over stair turret opening out of hall with semi-circular headed 2-light leaded casement. Interior not seen; said to
contain featureless inner room, small hall with Ham stone fire- place with bead mouldings and moulded plaster ceiling,
dog leg stair with dropped rails and 3 stall balusters to each rail, sloping ceiling above has plaster panel of 2
hearts pierced by an arrow; kitchen with blocked fire- place and depressed 4-centred wooden lintel and bead moulded
sides; roof of 6 tie-beam trusses. Cottage said to contain unchamfered beams, remains of bresstiiser fireplace and
external bread oven.(VAG Report, unpublished SRO, July 1983).
