Public house. c1845, altered mid C20, restored late C20. Red brick, with ashlar and brick dressings and gabled and hipped slate roof. Single gable and ridge stacks. Glazed brick plinth, ground floor impost band, wooden eaves cornice. Windows are mainly original glazing bar sashes. 3 storeys; 2 x 2 bays. Corner site with rounded corner entrance bay. Ground floor has corner doorway flanked on each return by casement windows under a fascia and lamps, all late C20. On the first floor, a large curved corner window, flanked to left by 2 windows with cast-iron balconies, and to right by a blank and another window. Above, a blank at the corner, and 2 small windows to each return. All these windows have brick flat arches. INTERIOR: refitted mid and late C20, has few original features.
