Conduit head. c1870. Cast-iron. Short fluted shaft with lion
head decoration and inscription "Wast Not Want Not". Restored
fluted cap. One of a series of conduit heads forming part of
the distribution system of the town water supply piped from
the main conduit head at Nobold Lane (Conduit Head, qv).
Previously situated some 20m east of its present position.
