Sacred to the memory of Henry sixth Baron Middleton, born 24 Apr 1761. Inflexible integrity dignified his public life, in private he was endeared by his social qualities, his friendship was sincere, and his benevolence noble without ostentation. His Lordship died deeply lamented at Wollaton 19 Jun 1835. In testimony to her grateful and affectionate regard to his memory, his afflicted widow erected this monument. Jane, daughter of Sir Robert Lawley baronet relict of the above lord Middleton died 17 Dec 1852 aged 83 years. They left no issue. (Photo Mar 2014).
