Pair of cottages. Mid C19. Limestone ashlar facades,
continuous steeply-pitched stone slate roof, central ridge
stack with 5 diagonally-set square shafts. Tudor Revival
style. Double-depth plans with 2-storey porches to the gabled
returns.
EXTERIOR: one storey with attics; each cottage one-window
range. Each cottage has a gabled half-dormer; hoodmoulds over
chamfered stone-mullioned window with chamfered architraves to
2-light casements over similar 3-light casements to the ground
floor. The gabled porches to outer returns have stone plinths,
brick to the ground-floor, ashlar to the 1st floor and C20
doors.
No.32 to the left has leaded lights, No.30 has C20 windows.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: an English-bond brick wall with
bull-nosed capping, approx 30m long and 1m high fronts the
site with a return to meet the party wall.
