C18 front to C17 or earlier building. 2 storeys and attic, colourwashed brick
on stucco plinth, moulded brick string 1st floor, moulded bracketed cornice
with bed mould. Hipped old tile roof. 2 dormer windows in centre with moulded
cornices. 4 windows in flush architrave frames on 1st floor and central canted
bay window with moulded cornice, sash, glazing bar, lights, 4 windows in moulded
frames on ground floor. Modern door under bay window, rectangular fanlight
with arched intersecting glazing pattern. Doorcase of plain pilasters with
fluted Egyptian caps and small moulding breaking forward round caps and carried
across head of opening.
Stable building extension to right of 2 storeys painted brick. One 5 Panel
sash window 1st floor and former yard entrance converted to period style shop
window and glazed door. Rear elevation has double gabled front with central
battlemented parapet, roundel below, 2 attic casements in gables, 3 windows
1st floor and ground floor, the right hand tripartite sashes, glazing bars
intact.
Nos 2 to 10 (even) and Nos 16 to 24 (even) with Methodist Church form a group.
