Row of 4 Southill Estate cottages, thought to be former poor house. Plaque:
"W H W 1864". 4-room plan, 2 storeys and attics. Red brick, with clay tile
gambrel roof. Front elevation is divided into 5 bays by brick pilaster
strips. Ground and first floors each have 4 3-light wood mullion and transom
windows with leaded lights. Attic has 4 box dormers with 2-light leaded
casements. Central bay taken up by gabled porch with pair of doorways which
have cambered heads and part-glazed doors. Gable ends have single porches in
similar style. 2 red brick multiple ridge stacks.
