Shown on O.S. Map as "Stone Cottages".
House. Circa 1700. Sandstone ashlar; plain tile roof; brick central
stack. 2-cell lobby-entry plan. Aligned east-west facing south with
lean-to rear extension. 2 storeys on cellar with off-set plinth. 3
windows; C20 casements, blocked 2-light chamfer mullioned cellar window
to the right. Central glazed door. The right hand gable-end retains
a pair of 2-light chamfer mullioned cellar windows. Interior. Large
fireplace in the western room and a small fireplace in the eastern room;
both have ovolo-moulded bressumers. Ovolo-moulded spine beams. Exposed
collar and tie beam roof trusses with raking struts extending from tie
beam to principal rafters; 2 pairs of purlins and curved wind braces.
