1). Under the east window, an Elizabethan military scene in high relief. John Farnham d1587 in Elizabethan armour and with cannon, pikemen and campaign tents by a castle, recalling his military ancestor Robert de Farnham at the siege of Calais in 1347. The illustration in Nichols (1795) shows less detail and has the high relief sculpture missing (No head, right arm and leg).
2). Farnham chapel east window. Includes text: But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose (Matthew 9.25). This window is erected to the Glory of God and in memory of Edward Farnham and Harriet his wife also of their son and daughter Edward Basil Farnham and Sarah Anne Farnham. (C19)
3). Ronald Geoffrey Farnham 1995. Wall plaque with Parnham shield. In loving memory of Ronald Geoffrey Farnham whose ashes are interred within this chapel Born 15th April 1930 Died 3rd December 1995 second son of John and Lily Farnham A kind and generous friend and brother.
4) William and Dorothy Farnham 1548. Incised slab, alabaster with a gentleman in armour and a lady. Coloured shield of arms for Farnham. Latin inscription. Hic iacet (Willi) Farnham et (Dorothee) ux suae (qui) quidem) (Willmus) obiit (6to) die (Mayi) A Dni Mo/ Do xlviii quor. Aiabus ppiciet Deus Amen et (supersacunt bis filii et iiii filiae). (Inscription taken from Nichols 1795). Translation: Here lies William Farnham and Dorothy his wife, which aforesaid William died the 6th day of May in the Year of our Lord One thousand Five hundred and forty eight, upon whose souls may God have mercy Amen. Succeeded by two sons and four daughters.
5) Thomas and Margaret Farnham 1502. Incised slab, alabaster with black coloured lines. Hic iacet Thomas Farnham Generosus et Margareta uxor ej(us) qui quidem Thomas (obiit ao dnis Mo Do) Margareta obiit die ment A(nn)o D(omi)ni Mo Do quor’) a(nim)i a(m)b(i)s propiciet(ur) Deus Amen. Translation: (The dates are incompletely given on the slab) Here lies Thomas Farnham, Gentleman and Margaret his wife which aforesaid Thomas died in the Year of our Lord One thousand five hundred and. . . ) Margaret died ( )day ( ) month in the Year of our Lord One thousand five hundred and ( ) upon both of whose souls may God have mercy Amen. Margaret wears a headdress decorated with her family arms. Thomas is in armour. Shields: Farnham Impaling Argent a cross between four leopards faces (Kingston) (Photo Jun 2015).
