In memory of Edward Basil Farnham Born 15 April 1799 Died 15 May 1879 Member of Parliament for North Leicestershire from 1837 to 1859 and of his Sister Sarah Ann Farnham Born 17 July 1796 Died 28 July 1875. Shields; At the top: Quarterly of six 1 Quarterly Or and azure two crescents counterchanged (Farnham of Quorndon) 2 and 4 Gules an eagle displayed argent ( ) 3 Quarterly or and azure two crescents counterchanged a crescent gules for difference (Farnham of Nether Hall) 5 (?Azure three beast heads erased or) ( ) 6 Azure a lion rampant and a canton or (Rhudde). On the right hand side: Gules a saltire ermine (Nevile). At the bottom, four shields 1 as top. 2 Farnham of Quorndon 3 Hartopp Quartering Per saltire argent and gules crusily three boars heads couped couterchanged (Cradock). 4 Farnham of Nether Hall.
