Former houses, now shop. Late C16. Timber-framed and rendered
with C20 pargetted panels. Gabled slate roof with stack on S
gable end. 2 storeys but with asymmetrical roof at S end over
part attic. Elevation: the first floor has 6 double-hung sash
windows with moulded surrounds: 3 with 6 panes and 3 with 9
panes. Ground floor has 3 C20 plate glass shopfronts, each
with a recessed entrance, and one 12 paned double-hung sash
window as others. Lean-to roof of slate on S part of rear of
red Flemish bond brickwork with blue headers and mixture of
windows. C20 extension on rear of N end. Late C16
timber-framed former house with some jowled posts and curved
windbracing exposed on upper floor.
