7/117 Hincknowle Farmhouse
and Carter's Cottage

GV II

Detached Farmhouse with rear converted to cottage. Early C18 and with
later refenestration. Hincknowle: dressed stone walls. Thatch roof,
with stone gable-copings. C20 brick stacks at left and right hand
gables. 2 storeys, 3 windows, 3-light wooden casements with glazing-
bars and wooden cills, C20. Stone surround with a separate label of a
former mullion window now a 3-light wooden casement. C20. Front
door at centre, plank with 6 glass lights, C20. Pentice tile roofed
porch on 2 wooden supports. Carter's: conversion and extension of rear
service-wing of the farmhouse. Rubble-stone and brick walls, all
under a thatch roof. 2 storeys. Wooden casements with glazing-bars.
Door on rear wall, plank.
