Pair of cottages, possibly lodges for gatekeepers. Probably mid C19. Slatestone
rubble with gabled Delabole slate roof with large axial brick stack. Double depth,
2 rooms per cottage plan. 2 storeys including roof space. West 2-window front
facing gateway to Tregothnan House is deliberately slightly irregular. Entrances to
left and right with scissor-braced gable-roofed heads on shaped corbels. Left
cottage has 4-light roofed bay window and 2-light window in gable over. Right
cottage has 3-light window in plain opening and dormer with gable and 2-light window
over. Casements have latticed iron glazing bars. Entrance to left slightly set
back with wall to right adjoining gate pier.
Interior not inspected.
