GV II

Small detached house. Late C18. Local rubble with granite
moorstone dressings; steep bitumen-grouted scantle roof with
tall brick end stacks, later hip on left with front lateral
stack. Double-depth plan including shallow rear outshut
continuing over integral rear porch. 2 storeys; symmetrical
3-window front plus later wing on the left. Blind window over
central doorway with glazed door within mid/late C19 fretted
porch flanked by mid C19 twelve-pane hornless sashes under C20
four-pane horned sashes. Right-hand return has original or
early C19 4/8-pane horizontal-sliding sash to ground floor
right. Rear has 1st-floor panel of studwork with rubble
nogging left of porch and old planked door to left of porch.
