C17. Timber framed, and, according to J M W Turner's drawing of Kirkgate dated 1797
(British Museum), originally jettied at both first and second floor levels, with an
additional gabled attic storey. Refronted, apparently in early C19. Colour-washed
brick front. Hipped pantile roof. Three storeys. Three bays: Yorkshire casements
with glazing bars on second floor, cased sashes with glazing bars on first floor. Two
early C19 shopfronts, one with moulded, other with panelled pilasters, the latter a
segmental bow, and both with glazing bars. One door up 2 stone steps, another up 3:
passage entrance with semi-circular head.
