Monument by John Bacon, 1793. Tablet with a charming roundel of a young girl with a lamb. -In memory of Etheldred Anne Cust, the only child of Brownlow Lord Brownlow by his marriage with the daughter of Sir Thomas Drury, bart. She d. 7th Dec 1788 age 17. Farewell most dear Lamented Daughter: thy Soul has early broke its earthly Chains; thy Virtues of Meekness Affection and filial Duty are secured by Death from the Changes and Corruptions of this World; and through the Merits of thy Redeemer, thou shalt meet the Bliss of the other, without experiencing Sorrow like to that which the Loss of thee has given-.
