Monument of c1740. -Near this Place lyeth the Body of Nicholas Doyle who Served this Noble Family as Chief Butler above five and twenty years. As long as Fidelity in Service: Disinterested Principles: a modest obligingeand Creditable Behaviour Shall be deemed reputable Qualifications, the Deceased s Name will be recorded with Praise. The Right Honourable the Lord Viscount Tyrconnel out of his usual Regard to merit in all Stations, has ordered this marble to be Erected in Memory of his most Valuable and much lamented Servant-. Other memorials, in the form of black marble lozenges, are set in the floor in front of the communion rail eg Valentine Hasledine d.1753. (Photo May 2014).
