Adelbert Wellington Brownlow Cust 3rd Earl and 4th Baron Brownlow, Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, Privy Councillor, Lord Lieutenant of Lincolnshire 54 years, Aide de camp to their Majesties Queen Victoria, King Edward VII and George V successively, A Colonel in the Army and a Brigadier General of the Volunteer Force. Born 19th Aug 1844. Married Lady Adelaide Chetwynd-Talbot, daughter of Henry Chetwynd-Talbot, 18th Earl of Shrewsbury, in 1868. d. 17th Mar 1921. Above his monument, and also that of Adelaide Countess Brownlow are the Arms: Cust, Argent a chevron fable three fountains proper, impaling Talbot: Gules a lion rampant or, a border engrailed of the second.
