Mile post. Mid-late C19. Cast-iron front of triangular plan attached to round-topped ashlar sandstone back.

Left side reads 'DONCASTER/15 MILES/ PONTEFRACT/MARKET CROSS/¾ MILE'.

Right side reads 'BOROBRIDGE/29 MILES/ WETHERBY/16½ MILES/LEEDS/12½ MILES/ABERFORD/9½ MILES/CASTLEFORD/2½ MILES'.

Top reads 'BARNSDALE & LEEDS/ROAD/PONTEFRACT'.

On the sloping triangular top is cast the makers' names, 'BRAYSHAW & BOOTH/MAKERS/LIVERSEDGE'.
