Cottage adjoining Den Croft (qv). C18, possibly earlier. Roughcast cob on stone
footings; hipped roof, thatched to front, corrugated iron to rear. Formerly a 2-
room cottage, possibly with a central cross passage. 2 storeys.
Exterior. Front: 2-window range; first floor with 3-light C19 casement windows,
lintels at eaves level. Ground floor : two 3-light casement windows to left of
half-glazed and panelled door. To the right in a 1:3:1 pane (former shop) bay
window, and another half-glazed and panelled door to the right of this.
Rear lateral stack engulfed in brick leanto, possibly external, and a C19 2-light
casement window to first floor. Interior not inspected. The cottage occupies a
prominent position on The Square and is included for group value.
